A Note From Our Owner, Tim Shellhammer

"My name is Tim Shellhammer, and I have over 39 years of experience in residential construction. For 28 of those years, I worked with a high-end custom residential builder in Wilmington. I started as a journeyman carpenter and advanced to project manager, later serving as director of field operations and corporate secretary. When the owner retired and the company was dissolved, I took that experience and founded The Shellhammer Group LLC in 2023.

I hold a current North Carolina general contractor’s license and serve as the qualifier for my company. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to build lasting relationships with homeowners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and local building officials across New Hanover County, including the communities of Figure Eight and Landfall.

The respect, trust, and teamwork built over the years through the good, the challenging, and the unexpected are truly priceless. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what I love, helping bring people’s visions to life through quality craftsmanship and attention to detail."
